Service Opportunities at Church of Our Savior
Downtown Community Meals
Each Wednesday evening, from 5:30 to 6:30, members of Church of Our Savior, St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, and First Christian Church plan, prepare, and serve a meal to feed low-income and homeless persons in the community. A donation of $2.00 per person or an in-kind donation of a food item is suggested in order to keep the meal self-sustaining. All are welcome!
The priest administers an Almoner’s Fund to help persons in need. Money is given by members of the congregation to sustain the fund, and all disbursements are confidential. Please contact the priest if you are in need or would like to contribute to the fund.
Food Pantry Collection
Twice a month, the congregation takes up a collection of food and other items and donates them to various social agencies in the community. If you are able to donate funds, please bring them to the church and place them in the “cross” in the narthex. If you are in need of food or other items, please speak to the priest.
Additional Service Opportunities
In addition to the above service ministries of Church of Our Savior, other opportunities for service happen throughout the year, including:

Each August prior to the start of school, the Outreach Committee provides haircuts and school supplies to low-income families in the community.
Christmas Tree Raffle
